Fall season has returned in full force once again with an exciting selection of trends to delve into. I personally enjoy the fall because of the pleasant weather that allows for layering and luxurious color combinations. This year's trends are a combination of oldies and newbies with the 60's style making a comeback and timeless classics such as knitwear and coats still staying afloat.
First up is a robe coat and and an over-sized coat. These are two fun statement pieces that can make the entire outfit or spruce up a simple dress being worn.
Next up is the vintage 60's look in addition to the knitwear staple.
Another vintage appeal are fair isle printed sweaters in addition to the grunge, tomboy tough girl look which is also in at the moment.
Last but not least is the dress over pants look and the dress with sneakers look. Let your creativity shine this fall by mix and matching some of these key trends to revamp an old look or find a new one altogether.
Hello Lovelies! We love color almost as much as we love skirts. Almost. But we have fallen head-over-heels for the new fantasy hair color trend. Many celebrities, bloggers, and fashionistas have taken a chance of fantasy hair with colors ranging from pink, to blue, to green, or all three! Below are some tips on how to have your crown become your new statement piece:
Permanent Dying
The most permanent way of achieving fantasy hair. Your first step is to lighten or bleach your hair. Then choose a semi-permanent hair dye in the color of your liking. Depending on your color you may have to tone your hair before applying the color. Toning, essentially, takes the brassy-orange color out of your hair. If you don't have any experience or do not feel comfortable with lightening your own hair, then go to a professional colorist who will gladly help you achieve your look.
Weaves and Extensions
A less permanent, yet still effective way to experiment with hair color, would be to add in colored weaves or extensions to your own hair. You can purchase human hair weave or extensions and follow the steps above to color the hair and then install it. Some extensions come pre-colored. Just buy and install! Another option is to purchase wigs in a fantasy color and rock that as well! All the color, but with the option of taking it out and not committing to coloring your own hair.
Chalking
Chalking is a new method for experimenting with hair color. A lot of brands sell different and bold colors. All you need is your hair chalk, gloves and a flat iron. Dampen your hair and gently rub the chalk over your hair in a downward motion. Then use a flat iron over the color to seal it on your hair. After one shampoo, the color will wash out and your ready for a new color!
Hope this post inspires you to add a little color to your crown of glory that will definitely make a statement all year round! Tell us what colors you willing to try this season?

Have you ever wondered what goes with what or how to dress a style up or down? Below are a few tips on how to pair up some items with a few basics we all have in our wardrobes. First up is a long skirt! You can make it sophisticated with the addition of heels or dress it down with some basic sandals. If you have more of a hipster sense of style, throw on a pair of oxfords to switch things up!
Another essential is the basic tee! Statement piece necklaces of varying kind can be used add a touch of drama to a simple look.
A blazer, especially a black one, is an essential that can accomplish a variety of instant chic looks. As it is so versatile, I would try to pair it up with accessories such as watches, large bags or clutches.

Hello Lovelies! Red lipstick is a classic and an essential item to add to your make-up bag. Red lipstick instantly adds a pop of color and glamour to any outfit. Unfortunately, a lot of women believe that they cannot wear red lipstick or that red lipstick does not flatter them. WRONG! Any woman of any skin tone can wear red lipstick. Here are a few tips on how to find the shade that best flatters you:
UNDERTONE
Finding your perfect red shade is all about the UNDERTONE!
An undertone refers to the coolness or warmth underneath the skin.
To find your undertone, look at the inside of your wrist in natural lighting. If your veins appear blue, then you have a cool undertone. If your veins appear green, then you have a warm undertone.
Another way to guess your undertone is by the jewelry you wear. If silver jewelry tends to flatter you more, than you have a cool undertone. If gold jewelry looks better on you, then you have a warm undertone.
Can't really tell? Then you might be neutral, therefore you can wear all shades of red lipstick.
Those that have a cool undertone want to choose red lipsticks with a blue base. These reds will appear richer in color and vibrancy. The richness in blue-based lipsticks will pop against your skin!
Those with a warm undertone will want to choose reds that have a pink or orange undertone. These warm colors will complement you wonderfully!
Still having trouble? Just make sure you test the lipstick on your hand or go to a make-up counter and have an artist match you up!
Below is a quick video to give you a visual of undertones and which lipstick shades to choose from:
Don't be afraid of red lipstick, ladies! Once you find the shade that best complements you, you practically can rule the world! Be Bold. Be Fearless. Hope this post helps.
When I first discovered gel nails I instantly fell in love. Painting your nails every week is not always convenient. Not to mention the constant chips and cracks that regular nail polish create after only a few days of wear. Gel nails last for about two weeks (your nails will grow out), and then you can switch out the color. The only inconvenience with this style is that you need an UV Ray light to harden the gel. Some girls go to the nail salon every two weeks while others will opt for spending money on the gel set.
Word on the street however is that Sally Hansen has made a break through in the gel nail technology, Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. No more UV light! I haven't tried it, but check them out and tell us what you think about the no light gel polish:
