Icy Retreats

Vacation was amazing!  I try to get as much rest as possible during these times but on the way back I couldn't help but get a few pics with the scenic views.  I mean, you don't get these opportunities every day!  C'mon!

Absolutely gorgeous and restful.  There's nothing like the beauty of God's Creation, a Natural Spa and mind resting retreat.

Even if you can't get a full vacation, don't forget to spend some BR&R time (Beauty, Rest, and Relaxation).  You deserve it!

Much Love Beautifuls,

Jade Lee

Equestrian Inspiration: The Horseback Riding Skirt

Paris Fashion Week 2012
Source
I am going on vacation this winter and plan to go horseback riding, one of my favorite activities.  I am absolutely fascinated with the culture of horseback riding and wearing skirts.  No, I will not be riding sidesaddle, but I would love to ride a horse with a skirt on for the first time.  Here are a few Equestrian Inspired looks.

This is sidesaddle:

The sidesaddle skirt:

There is such an eloquence and grace that comes with a lady riding a horse in a beautiful skirt.  But it does present its problems, such as burning your legs from rubbing on the horse.  See the video below for a wonderful skirt that will protect your legs and keep you warm- made specifically for horseback riding!

What's your fave black and white combo?  Stripes, polka dots, or classic (no pattern)?

How to Wear a Jean Skirt

The Jean Skirt can look so bland when worn the wrong way, but here are some really cools ways to jazz up a basic jean skirt in different cuts:

A pencil or straight skirt looks great with a pair of fly sunglasses, a colored shirt or blouse and block heels.  And don't forget a cute purse:

More Denim Looks, Layer it up with a jacket and shirt, heels or a blouse:

And here are more looks:

A high waist look:

I'm lovin' this vintage look; the sunglasses top it off:

Accessorize to add flavor to a basic denim skirt.  Matching wedge shoes can go a long way:

Bright colors look so vibrant on a dark denim skirt. The secret is to match up complimentary colors with dark denim.  Go heavy on one color and light on its complimentary color:

So what do you think?  Do you have any more tips on how to wear a denim skirt?  Thanks lovelies!
